Darrell Huber passed away on February 27th 2019 due to complications from liver cancer. He was born on July 17th 1964 and is survived by his wife Erica, sister Jay and other relatives, his son Jesse and his adoptive parents Dale & Marilyn and brother Gordon, as well as the many, many people whose lives he touched.
Here is a man who lived the outdoor life, who loved the activities. From fishing, rafting and snorkeling to camping, backpacking and mushroom hunting, the list is long and at different times he has done most everything. He also loved music and to dance.
To our family he’s been the one of a kind heart, a jokester, the favorite uncle, a mentor and a buddy. His love for family was reflected in so many ways throughout his entire life.
And to anyone who knew him he was generous with his time, always willing to help you out, open-hearted to a fault, and he never knew a stranger. You often had to be patient when doing things with him, because he knows an incredible number of people who show up in the most unexpected places, and yakking ensues. Talking to him, you soon realize he knows the oddest facts about the weirdest stuff. Which can be verified.
So with sadness and love we bid farewell to our husband, brother, father, friend and most of all, just an all around awesome guy with a quirky sense of humor, as he takes his passage home to the Lord. Until such time as we see you again, journey on. You are and will be incredibly missed.
A celebration of life for Darrell will be held Saturday, May 11th at 1 pm at Lake of the Woods resort, Cabin 18. Come join us for memories, memorabilia and a chance to connect with each other. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org optional but recommended.
