William Miracle Woo Ree Fromm's Obituary

William Miracle Woo Ree Fromm William Miracle Woo Ree Fromm, 19, passed away on November 28, 2023, at his apartment in Medford, Oregon. Born in Korea on November 1, 2004, William joined his mother, father and older brother when he was 6 months old on May 12, 2005. He lived in Northern Virginia until 2019 when he moved to Medford, Oregon with his father and brother. He earned his GED in 2023. Woo (blessings) and Ree (clever), Williams Korean birth name, fit him well. He had an incredible memory, thirst for knowledge and an innate ability to figure things out. He was an avid reader of fiction books, loved Japanese young adult Anime and enjoyed going to the movies (especially with a large tub of popcorn). He also loved to experiment in the kitchen everything from making bread (learned from YouTube videos) to combining different spices and foods to create a main course or side dish. He had planned to visit Japan, among other places, and wanted to someday purchase and restore a 25+ year old JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) car. William was a self-taught expert with computers. He knew several software languages, set up web sites, ran gaming sites, could explain the intricate differences between chips, graphic cards and configurations, built computers and frequently updated components in his gaming computer. In his mid-teens he was a semi-professional gamer (CSGO), constantly honing his skills and participating in numerous on-line tournaments. After William moved to Medford his focus turned to his artistic side. That included a very strong and deep interest in music. He wrote and published numerous songs and was very proud that a couple of his songs earned him several thousand dollars in royalties. He was working on producing a full album and planned a career in music. He enjoyed one-on-one conversations that could become an in-depth exploration of a wide range of topics. And, when he was engaged in an activity, his personality would shine. While recently working at Panera Bread in Medford, he delighted in customer interactions and received many compliments from his managers for his customer service. In September he proudly reported that a woman approached his manager to tell him that William was doing an "amazing job" and "how nice he was." William is survived by his father, Charles Fromm, of Medford Oregon, his brother, John, of Fairfax, Virginia, and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. His mother, Jill Riveroll Fromm, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his beloved golden retriever, Kerby. Kerby would sleep in Williams bed every night and was his constant companion. A memorial service will be held for William at 11:00 am on December 11, 2023 at Perl Funeral Home & Siskiyou Memorial Park, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd, Medford, OR 97504.
