Whiteley

Charles Edward "Chuck" Whiteley passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his home in Medford, Oregon.
Chuck was born October 8, 1931, in Depew, Oklahoma and lived there until he was about 10 years old. At that time
his family moved to Central California.
He enlisted in the Army in 1949 and fought in the Korean War as part of Company K, 31st Infantry,
who landed at Incheon and went on to fight at the Chosin reservoir. He was one of few survivors. During
his time in battle in Korea he earned five Bronze Stars for heroism in a battle zone. He was honorably
discharged in 1951.
He met his wife Lillian through her older brother before his enlistment in the Army, they
married in January, 1953, and remained in Central California until he enlisted in the Air
Force. He retired from the Air Force in March, 1972 and went on to have two other
careers after that. Chuck and Lillian were married almost 50 years. Lillian passed away
in 2002.
Chuck is survived by their three children: Eddie, Charles (Chuck) Jr., and
Jennifer; six of their seven grandchildren: Heather, Charles (Chuck) III, Christopher,
Amy, Morgan, and Whitney; as well as ten great-grandchildren: Cainan, Asher, Niles,
Max, Dakota, Elijah, Zachary, Callum, Logan and Ivy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bethel Church at Vista Pointe on Saturday,
January 24, 2026 at 11:00 am. Lunch will be offered in the fellowship hall after the
service.
