Dolores Rosemary Weil Bonsi

November 29, 1932 — July 19, 2022

Dolores Rosemary Weil Bonsi passed away on Tuesday morning July 19, 2022, at the age of 89. Dolores was born November 29, 1932, in the small town of Lake Elsinore, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings and her son Lt. Colonel David Bonsi.  Dolores married Louis J. Bonsi, on June 17, 1950, at St. Joseph’s Church in San Jose, California. They were married for 72 years and together had 5 children; Kenneth, David, Cindy, Philip, and Paul. She was a proud grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 16 with one on the way.

At the age of 12 her brother introduced her to horses. She would often say one of her favorite memories was going to the barn on her bike to go riding. The barn was 6 miles away and she would sometimes do this 2-3 times in a single day. She also had a love for travel, fishing, clamming, crabbing, and sewing. As a homemaker, when she wasn’t busy with her 5 children, she would still find time to volunteer at San Jose hospital. After moving with Louis and the family to Medford, Oregon she worked for Sears for 14 years, making many friends along the way. In recent years she discovered the internet and facebook. Dolores always seemed to have a new joke to tell anyone she spoke with, in hopes of bringing a smile to their face.

Funeral services for Dolores will be held at 10am on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, 600 Beebe Rd., Central Point, Oregon.
A reception will follow in the parish hall. We are asking all who attend to wear a mask. The Bonsi family wishes to thank everyone for your love and  support. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the following organizations:
