Donna Lea Bartruff Passed away peacefully at home in Medford, OR at the age of 91, on April 23rd, 2021. Donna was born in Portland, OR on September 21, 1929 to George and Hannah Brown. A graduate of Washington high school and Lewis and Clark College; with a degree in education. Donna married Ken Bartruff in 1951 and they spent time working as teachers in Guam, Saipan, Italy, and Hawaii. In between these trips their daughter, Sally Ann was born in 1962. The family settled in the Portland area, where Donna finished up her teaching career in 1986 at Stafford elementary school in West Linn. After retirement Donna and Ken spent much time traveling. Trips included Europe, Mexico and much of the western US and Canada. They also found time to build a couple of new homes and welcome in two grandchildren. Donna spent the last couple of years in her new home of Medford, where she was close to her family. Donna volunteered for many years at The Community Transitional School of Portland (OR), and she was very committed to educating kids of all ages and backgrounds.
