Doris Irene Dees passed away at home while with her family on January 06th 2025.

Doris was preceded in death by her mother Sarah Elizabeth Ditty and father Howard Hiram Ditty and her siblings, Frances Russell, Loise Thornton, La Gene Willis, Joseph Ditty, Joan Kruse, and Sarah Caulkins, and her husband/partner Jerry Dees.

Doris leaves behind her two daughters, Kristine (Tyler) Kopta and Kerry (Perry) Smith.

She had six grandchildren: Trenton Kopta (India Titus), Christian Morris, Samuel Kopta, Zachary (Jordyn) Morris, Devan (Tom) Ferrell and Parker Morris.

Doris also had thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Doris "Thanked God every day for her loving and caring family and was grateful for all the wonderful friends she had along the way".

Doris was known as a selfless person who loved life and her family and her dogs. She will be forever missed, and her legacy will live on.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Jackson County Animal Shelter or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Doris's name.
