Everett "Pete" M Combs

Everett "Pete" M Combs, 79, passed away June 26, 2023.  He was born July 30, 1943, at Community Hospital in Medford, Oregon.  He lived in Talent until moving to Prospect in 1960.  He started working at the US Forest Service-Prospect Ranger District in 1962 after marrying his wife Lois Govenor, February 24, of the same year.  He worked as a technician marking and cruising timber, as a Timber Sale Administrator, and finally retiring as a Timber Management Officer after 43 years of service.

Pete was an avid wood worker and spent most of his days out in the shop "filling orders" from family and friends.  He made intricate jewelry boxes for each of his family members that they will cherish for years to come.  Pete was a devoted bow hunter spending each September chasing elk with son Greg, son in law Jeff and grandson Brendan.

Pete is survived by wife Lois Combs, stepsister Ronelle Pratt, daughter Rhonda von Kienast, son in law Jeff von Kienast, grandchildren Taylor Toscano, Jordyn and Brendan von Kienast, Tyler and Zachary Combs, great grandchildren Brayden and Miranda Toscano and Landon von Kienast and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son Greg Combs.

There will be no funeral services.
