IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances Delore
Hayman
June 28, 1930 – July 22, 2024
Frances Delore Hayman
6-28-1930 to 7-22-2024
Frances Delore Hayman, 94, of Talent, Oregon, passed away at her home of nearly 74 years after a brief illness on Monday, July 22, 2024.
Frances was born in Iowa on June 28, 1930, to Delore and Lillian Sullivan and was the oldest of four children. Her siblings, Shirley (Hubert) Hewitt, Rosemary Erickson, and Dwight (Winnie) Sullivan, all preceded her in death.
Frances went to school in Talent, Oregon, and was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1947 at Talent High School. She first met Bert (Jim) Hayman at the high school. He was her high school sweetheart and the love of her life. They were married in Ashland, Oregon, on August 5, 1950, and had three children together. They celebrated their 60th Diamond wedding anniversary before Bert's passing on April 2011.
Frances had a strong work ethic. She enjoyed working at her family's popular Sully's Drive-In restaurant in Medford. She also worked as a Dental Hygienist for a local dentist in Medford. She and Bert purchased Western States Parts & Equipment in Central Point, where Frances was the Accountant. Frances was the driving force behind keeping the business's doors open throughout several tough economic times. She was very proud of employing three generations of Hayman's at their family owned business.
Frances loved spending time with her family and enjoyed backyard barbecues, camping, fishing, hunting, snow skiing, and snowmobile trips together. Some of her favorite places were Lake of the Woods, Diamond Lake, and Yellowstone National Park. She loved vacationing in Maui, Hawaii, and the Oregon coast. Frances also looked forward to and helped plan and host several Talent High School reunions. She got to connect with her classmates from 1947 and catch up with them and their families.
Frances was very talented and creative. She enjoyed many hobbies such as knitting sweaters and other items for family members, tending to her beautiful flower garden, genealogy, painting landscapes on canvas, and painting a mural on her kitchen wall. She also created beautiful stained glass pieces.
Frances is survived by her three children; Janice (Leonard) Hill of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Mark (Katherine) Hayman of Phoenix, Oregon and Mike (Cheryl) Hayman of Phoenix, Oregon, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A private burial has already been held. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 2pm at Perl Funeral Home in Medford, Oregon. Remembrance may be made in flowers or a donation to a cancer charity of your choice
