IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George Joseph
Badura
February 14, 1939 – February 12, 2026
George Joseph Badura, Jr., 86, of Phoenix, Oregon passed away on February 12, 2026. Born on February 14, 1939, in Fortuna, California, to the late George Joseph Badura, Sr. and Florence Badura. He lived a life defined by humor, hard work and dessert.
George graduated from California State Polytechnic College at San Luis Obispo, California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Soil Science. He built a career as a Soil Scientist developing many conservation and best practices strategies for multiple forests. After he retired from the Forest Service, he started a small business called "Soil Management Services". One of his specialties was helping local vineyards find the right grapes for their soil type.
George enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. When he was a young man, he rode broncos in the rodeo. George was known for his generosity and willingness to help. He donated many gallons of his rare blood type to help babies in the NICU.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lola; his sons Philip, Brian and Mark; his stepdaughters Carrie and Megan; his grandchildren Alexandra, Jacob, Collin, Courtney and Kendall; and one great grandchild.
We want to Thank Alan and his staff at Premier Elder Care, Siskiyou House for all the wonderful meals and care they provided George over this last year. Special thanks for always keeping that coffee cup full.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southern Oregon Nature Conservancy.
