Gordon William Maurer, known affectionately to friends and family as Gordy, passed away in Medford, OR, on August 13, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on June 29, 1966, in Salem, OR,

Gordy was a proud graduate of Ashland High School, class of 1984, his dedication and skill in football earned him SOC all-conference recognition, a testament to his talent and team spirit. Following high school, Gordy entered the workforce making significant contributions to the grocery business for several years. His precision and keen eye for detail later led him to a career as a draftsman, where he assisted architects in bringing their visions to life.

Outside of work, Gordy was an avid outdoorsman, he found solace and delight in camping, fishing, and hunting. Fall weekends often found him engrossed in football games, cheering on his favorite teams with the same fervor he once displayed on the field.

Gordy is survived by his devoted mother, Margaret L Maurer, siblings, Randy Maurer and Cheryl Beugli. many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon O Maurer, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

Those who knew Gordy will remember a man with great humor. His laughter was contagious.
