Herbert Wells Desentz

Herbert Wells Desentz passed away April 16, 2020 in Medford, Oregon from natural causes. He was 56 years old. Born in Burbank, California September 20, 1963 Herb lived his life in three phases: his younger years in Southern California, his middle years in Northern California, and his final years in Medford. Herb was known for his outgoing personality, his love for the outdoors, and especially enjoyed karaoke. He could hold a person’s attention with his wild stories and charming smile, and was loved by many. Herb spent many years working at Packer Lake Lodge, in Sierra County, with most of his family, and later moved to Medford where he owned a coffee shop for several years before becoming a truck driver for a local company. Herb is preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Desentz Sr., his mother Lorraine, and his brother Rod Desentz. Herb was married twice, first to Delores Fryling of California, and his second wife Gail Stroud of Oregon. No children of his own Herb leaves behind a former step-son, several nieces and a nephew, two sister-in-laws, and many close friends. A private celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date.
