Ida Maxine Beebe (nee Skinner), passed away peacefully on May 3, 2023 in
hospice care after a short illness. She had just celebrated her 100 th birthday in
October 2022. She loved camping, sewing and especially cooking for family and
friends and she enjoyed making crocheted hats for those in need. Maxine was
extremely proud of her independence throughout her wonderful life and was
supported by her caring neighbors who took out her garbage and delivered her
mail to her door. Maxine was a member of The Neighborhood Church, Medford.
Maxine was born in Casper, Wyoming in 1922 and the Skinner family moved to
the Rogue Valley around 1937. She married Joseph E. Beebe on March 27, 1941.
The married couple then moved to Coos Bay and built their lives there for
approximately 40 years before returning to the Rogue Valley in 1986. Joseph
passed away in 1992. And their dear daughter, Jo Ann, passed in 2011. She was
also proceeded in death by her Parents, Minor and Zelda, and her 3 brothers, and
2 of her sisters.
Maxine is survived by three sisters, Charlotte Grigsby, Betty Konopasek, and
Sandra Weaver (Curt), all of Medford. By four granddaughters; Roberta White
(Tony) of Medford; Cheryl Antony (Christopher) of Bellevue, Washington; Rachelle
Ping of Antioch, and Leslie Scribner (David) of Palermo, both of California. Maxine
is blessed with 22 Great Grandchildren, 23 Great-Great Grandchildren, and 2
Great-Great-Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, Saturday May 13,
2023 at Memory Gardens, Medford. Officiating will be the Rev. Dan Gregory,
pastor at The Living Room Church in Medford. She will be buried next to her
loving husband. Reception to follow the service in the Memory Gardens café.
