Obituary

Jacquelyn Noraleen Irvin February 13, 1946 - April 23, 2018 On the morning of April 23, 2018, Jacquelyn Noraleen Irvin (Jackie Ganick-Zoll) of Jacksonville, Oregon passed peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long illness. Jackie was born February 13, 1946 to Edgar and Julia Zoll in St. Louis, Missouri, where she spent her childhood. Later, her family moved to Southern California. Soon after finishing high school, Jackie married David Ganick. After their first daughter, Kymberly (Kym) was born, they relocated to Jacksonville, Ore. and were joined by their second daughter, Rebecca (Bekki). After her divorce, Jackie spent some time in Alaska. One of Jackies most rewarding accomplishments was her time working with Sacred Heart Church, where, for many years, she facilitated a support group for the divorced and separated. Jackie was very independent and artistic. She started her own business and wallpapered the interiors of many new homes in the Rogue Valley. She would later go to work and retire from Harry & David. After Jackie was diagnosed with her illness, she moved in with Kym and her family, where she enjoyed doing puzzles, surfing the Net, talking politics, and watching Fox News. In addition to her daughters, Kym (Michael) Smith, and Bekki Ellis, she is survived by her greatest joys, her grandchildren, Khaila (Jason) Carlstrom, Karissa Lindvig, Audrie Moore, and Joey Moore. Also surviving are Jackies six siblings, Mary Novak, Judy Grittman, Bob Zoll, Jim Zoll, Danny Zoll, and Gary Zoll; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Julia; and a brother, Ed. Bekki and Kym would like to thank Providence Hospital for all of the special care she received. They would also like to thank Providence Home Health Services, especially her nurse, Sheila; her aide, Rhonda; and her caregiver, Martha. Jackie truly loved all of them! Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday May 3, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackies memory to Providence Home Health Services at www.oregon.providence.org.
