Joann Roleyne Wells, beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and connoisseur of salt water taffy, passed

away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Medford, Oregon at the age of 81.

Born on January 12, 1944, to parents Roland and Minnie Holmes, where she grew up in Medford surrounded by love and family.

Joann attended Medford Sr High School, where she graduated in 1962. Following her graduation, she

pursued her passion for beauty and enrolled in Beautician School to become a certified cosmetologist.

Her skill and artistry in hairstyling brought joy and confidence to her clients for many years.

In August of 1969, she entered into marriage with Darrell Wells and they were blessed with three loving

children: Tamara Wells, Darlene Kafer, and Connie Nieto. She took immense pride in her role as a

mother, nurturing and guiding her children with grace and wisdom.

Joann was a loving grandmother to her eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren whom she

adored beyond words. She found great joy in being active with them, whether it was rafting the Rogue

River, going to the ocean, camping or family get togethers, she continued creating cherished memories

that will be forever treasured.

Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and infectious laughter. She

enjoyed being an active member of many prayer groups and home extensions. She had time to pray

with anyone who was needing help, and on many occasions, she took people in to her home to help

them stabilize while they had a safe place. Joann also taught Sunday school and she had a pack of prayer

warrior friends known as "Her Gang" who wrote letters and cards to people needing prayer for health.

The gang would also do in home visits.

Joann will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her spirit and legacy will live on through the memories they shared and the love she bestowed upon

them.

Mom, we love you may you rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love of Jesus Christ.

Joann was preceded by both parents, Roland and Minnie Holmes, and one Great Grandchild, Asher

Wells.

She is survived by her brother Curt Holmes of Medford, Oregon. Three daughters, and their

husbands of Medford, Oregon, Tamara and Marc Wells, Darlene and Heith Kafer, Connie and Tony

Nieto. She is also survived by two half siblings to her three daughters, Shannon Johnson, and Randy

Wells who were part of Joann's life. Eight Grandchildren Savannah Noel, Hunter Kafer, Hope Kafer,

Ryken Buck, David Buck, Zachary Wells, Cameron Wells and Denver Wells. In addition, great

grandchildren, Lynlee Buck, Mireya Buck, Roscoe Noel, and Stormee Noel.
