We are sad to announce that John Eugene Mitchell of Medford, Oregon, passed away on June 5th, 2023; he was 63 years old. John was born in Minot, North Dakota on November 23, 1959. His family moved to Aberdeen, WA in 1962. John graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1978. He attended Grays Harbor College. He moved to Medford in 1986 and started his business, Senior Insurance Services. John is survived by the love of his life, Sandra M. Mitchell, and his most beloved son, Roy David Mitchell, at the family home in Medford. John is survived by Sandras Mother, Nelly Erazo Rodrguez of Cali, Colombia, and Sandras sisters, Carolina Rodrguez Alzate (Rafael) of Cali, Colombia, and Linda Alejandra Rodriguez Gaviria (Mauricio) of Cali, Colombia. John had two sisters JoAnn Mitchell West (Jerry) of Sun City, AZ, and Carol Mitchell Godfrey of Camarillo, CA. He had one brother, James Mitchell (Myra) of Tacoma, WA. John also had numerous nieces and nephews. John passed away after his parents, Joseph Roy Mitchell and Anna Belle Morrissy Mitchell, his sister Marilyn Mitchell Lantz and his brother LeRoy Mitchell. John was an excellent athlete in his youth, excelling at basketball and baseball. He was an avid LA Ram fan, and he loved to travel, taking his family on numerous trips, especially to Colombia.
