IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joshua
Garza
May 11, 1999 – September 10, 2025
Joshua Rolf Garza, age 26, left this world on September 10, 2025, in White City, Oregon.
Joshua was born on May 11, 1999, in Newport News, Virginia, to Laila Flatebo Garza and Robert Garza. He brought a unique and amazing light and love to our family and the world. Always kind, sensitive to others and their feelings and needs. Even as a baby, he loved to make us laugh. Wherever he went, he created smiles and laughter.
Joshua loved nature and found peace there. As a little boy, he would dance in the rain. He loved the beauty of the mountains in Utah and the green landscape of Oregon. He created an Instagram page called RolfFilms where he shared the beauty he loved. He fell in love with videography when he bought his drone. He wanted others to find hope in the beauty of nature. He knew the power of being in nature, and that is where he found joy, peace, and God.
His son Greyson brought the deepest love and pride into his life. He adored him and was amazed at his huge, sweet heart and intelligence. They, with Shelby, enjoyed more camping trips in their summers together than most people would in a lifetime. Fishing, hiking, and being together.
His siblings and parents loved and adored him, and he loved and cared for each of them so much. Life was always more fun and exciting when Josh was around. Their playful harassment was always a part of their relationship, and it was beautiful to see his love for each of them grow very deep over the years.
He loved his Parents so much, and they were so proud of him. He was an honorable man with great integrity. He always wanted to do the right thing and never wanted to hurt anyone.
He is so deeply missed. We still feel his love and feel him near. Heaven got brighter when Josh went home. I know he is with his Grandma Jenny and his uncle Rolf, who he never met, and many other family members that love him. We cannot wait to see him again someday. Until then, we will try to make him proud in the lives we live and have him in our hearts every moment.
Surviving family members are his cherished son Greyson, Laila Flatebo Garza (Mom), Robert Garza (Father), Lance Garza (Brother), Jacob Garza (Brother), Joanna Garza (Sister), Jared Garza (Brother), and Shelby Rock (His beloved sweetheart).
A funeral Service was held on September 16, 2025 in the pavilion behind the Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Central Point, Oregon.
A celebration of life will be held in the pavilion behind the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9681 North 6900 West, Highland, Utah, on Saturday, September 27th, at 3:33 pm for friends and family.
We love you to heaven and back, our sweet Joshua❤️
