"A LIFE THAT TOUCHES OTHERS GOES ON FOREVER"

Surrounded by loved ones, Karen Victoria Potter was called home by God on June 19, 2026

after an eight-year heartbreaking yet graceful journey with PSP.

Born July 19, 1950, Karen grew up in Brookfield Wisconsin. She attended the University of

Wisconsin-Whitewater where she met her soulmate, David. They married on April 28, 1973 and

moved to Medford in 1981. Together they raised three wonderful boys, Robert, Daniel and

Kevin, and are blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Marketa, Alden and Cade.

Karen worked as a dedicated medical transcriptionist for 46 years in Janesville, WI, Medford,

and Ashland OR. After 29 years at Ashland Orthopedic, Karen retired in 2017 and cherished

spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Karen is best known for her heartwarming smile, cheerful eyes, amiable personality and

loving warmth. She touched the lives of many and was loved and blessed by those she touched.

Karen had a surprisingly witty sense of humor. She was not a teller of jokes, but could deliver

one-liners with perfect timing accompanied by an endearing smile. When asked how she was

doing, she would often respond with "PSP sucks." Her credo was "Live, Love, Laugh."

Karen and David attended Bear Creek Church and would like to thank the members and many

friends for their prayers over the years. Greatly appreciated are all the dear friends who visited

and shared their time and love for Karen. Also, the caregivers who became part of the family.

A beautiful service and celebration of life was held for Karen on June 27 at St. Mary's High

School.

Please consider making a donation to the PSP & CBD Foundation in Karen's name because

"PSP sucks."
