Kenneth Wayne Cearley, age 92 of Medford, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019. He was born May 17, 1926 in Walla Walla Washington to John and Marie (Walters) Cearley. The family moved to Southern Oregon in 1931. Kenneth graduated Medford Senior High in 1946 and attended Pacific University, Hawaii. Proudly served in the U.S.Navy from 1944 to 1946 stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He married his wife Doris (Knutson) Cearley June 15, 1947. Kenneth served on the Medford City Planning Commission, Architectural and Site Plan Review Committee and Urban Renewal Budget Committee. Kenneth was a member of Hillah Shrine, Warren Lodge Jacksonville Oregon, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Adarel OES, Medford Elks Lodge, and Medford Rogue Rotary.
Kenneth leaves behind his son James K. Cearley, daughter Suzanne McLaughlin, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Those wishing to remember Kenneth may send contributions to Shriner's Children's Hospital 3101 Sam Jackson Park Rd, Portland OR 97539. Graveside service held at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, Oregon on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 3:00 pm.
