Larry M. Milligan, Sr., 74, beloved husband of Patricia Milligan, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, April 10, 2023. Larry, a man who decided to follow Jesus on March 21, 1982, silently and bravely battled multiple myeloma cancer since 2018.
Larry was born into a wonderful family originating from Oklahoma. Larry is proud to say his grandmother on his father Clell's side was a Princess of The Chickasaw Nation.
Larry was a very proud father of 3 children, from his first marriage, Chad, Cadi, and Larry Jr. (LJ).
Larry is survived by his wife Patricia and his daughter Cadi Thomas, his 5 grandsons Taylor (Stephanie) Milligan, Myka Thomas, Christopher Kiley, Kamerin Thomas, Bryce Milligan; 7 granddaughters; Chassie Milligan, Grace Milligan, Mandy Milligan, Aynaelyssya Thomas, Nevaeh Thomas, Shannon Kiley and Isabella Milligan, 4 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. Larry loved every one of them tremendously. He was predeceased by his father Clell, his mother Jane, his brother Lon, his sister Linda, and his two sons Larry Jr., Chad, and David (Patricia's son), and two grandsons Michael Milligan and Christopher Murphy Milligan.
When people talk about Larry, they always remark what a nice, kind, gentle, friendly, wonderful, sweet man he was and he always had a quiet word of wisdom representative of God's Love and Grace. Larry and his wife Patricia, of 21 years have lived in Eagle Point for the past 18 years. Larry and Patricia are faithful Christians having served on the Prayer Ministry at Trail Christian Fellowship for 20 years, and have been involved with several seminars there, as well as serving with Pastor Everett Baker in Arizona at week-long retreats for Pastors and their Wives. The Lord has always been first in their marriage and lives, and their desire was to share the joy of Christ with others.
Anyone who knows Larry knows Larry loved to fish, most especially with Patricia and his grandchildren, teaching them the joy of fishing. Larry had many fishing buddies too, whom he always outfished! You go, Larry!!
Larry and Patricia enjoyed many adventures and travels. Their most memorable trips were to Italy and especially Israel; walking the roads their Lord walked on and sailing the Sea of Galilee.
Orley's, the family-owned business was purchased by Larry from his uncle Orley in 1980. Larry and Patricia loved working together at the store where they cared for their employees like family, and their main desire was to be of service to their customers. Then in 2020, Larry sold the business to his nephew, Dan Clark.
An Open Invitation Memorial will be held in the Worship Center at Trail Christian Fellowship, 18881 Hwy 62, Eagle Point, Oregon, 97524, on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 2 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Room at Trail Christian Fellowship.
