Luke Henry Heinzman passed away peacefully January 1, 2024. Luke the son of Henry and Eleonora Heinzman was born July 30, 1937 in Mankato, Minnesota.
Luke and family moved to California in 1942 where they lived in the Bay Area. In 1946 they moved to Ashland, Oregon where he attended school graduating from Ashland High School in 1955.
Luke married his high school sweet heart Carol Fowler in 1956.
He began a career as a store manager with the Department of Veterans Affairs and retired after 39 years of service. During his career he lived in Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, and Washington. Luke loved each state.
He also served 28 years in the Army National Guard.
Luke is survived by his wife Carol, son Randy (Margaret), son Rodney, son Rickie (Arliss), nine grandchildren Amber (Brandon), Stephen (Lilly), Philip, Sarah (Andrew), Kennedy, Jazarae (Ryan), Brittany (Nick), Bayleigh and Raeanna.
Nine great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaeson, Kade, Remek, Sophia, Wyatt, Alden, Rylend and Riley.
Sisters Judy Browning, Kathy Walker, Barbara Davis, Carolyn Shaffer (Dave), Mary Pompei, sister-in-law Donna Heinzman and many nieces and nephews.
Luke is preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael and brothers-in-law Richard, Frank and Vic.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday February 23, 2024 at 11am at Perl Funeral Home Chapel 2100 Siskiyou Blvd. Medford, Oregon 541-772-5488.
