Marilyn A.
Lobaugh
December 5, 1946 – May 31, 2026
Marilyn Ann Hill Lobaugh, 79, went home to her Lord on May 31, 2026, at Rogue Valley Manor in Oregon, surrounded by the family that was her life's great work.
She was born December 5, 1946, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Ross James Hill and Violet Mildreth (Olsen) Hill. Her early years were spent in Minnesota before the family moved to San Jose, California, which she called home until her marriage. She earned her Associate's degree from San Jose City College.
On August 30, 1969, she married Everett Lobaugh, beginning a partnership of nearly fifty-seven years. As a pastor's wife and homemaker, Marilyn poured herself into ministry and family across a lifetime of moves — Texas, California, Washington, and finally Oregon — serving alongside Everett as office manager and church clerk wherever they were called.
Marilyn was, above all, a people person. She kept friendships flourishing across decades and miles, never letting distance dim a connection. She loved collecting, traveling, and studying her Bible deeply. She had a soft spot for dogs and a steady devotion to the people in her life. But her truest investment was always her children and grandchildren — they were where she spent herself most gladly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross James Hill (1970) and Violet Mildreth Olsen Hill (1993).
She is survived by her husband, Everett Allen Lobaugh; her sons, Jeffrey Allen Lobaugh and Rodney Allen Lobaugh; her daughter-in-law, Helga Holmefjord Lobaugh; and her grandchildren, Miriam Elise Lobaugh, Nathaniel Everett Lobaugh, and Karianne Lobaugh.
