IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Marie
Joyner
January 18, 1950 – May 31, 2024
Mary passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 31, at the age of 74.
She was born in Medford, grew up in Central Point, attended Crater High School, and lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
Mary's career was 52 years as a bartender and server. She was the oldest working bartender in the Rogue Valley when she passed. She started as a server at the iconic Kim's Chinese Restaurant and moved to bartender after 6 months. When Kim's closed, she continued at the New Far East and became Bar Manager. When they closed, she volunteered at the Moose Lodge 2647 and was working at Foxy Tails Tavern. She passed while working her Friday night at Foxy Tails from a heart attack. Mary considered all her customer's friends for life. She will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Mary was an avid bowler on several leagues at Roxy Bowling Lanes and Medford Bowling Lanes. She was active in softball and played on the Rogue Valley Dairymaids team. She took up golfing with her husband Lee Joyner at Rogue Valley Country Club.
Mary is survived by her sister: Joanne Cosgrove; her sons: Brian Morris and Justin Gunn (Shayna); grandsons: Brendenn Morris (Emily), Brian Junior, and Zachary Gunn; granddaughter; Avery, the delight of her life; nieces: Jennifer McCormack (Chris) and Kelley Cosgrove; cousins: Sue Campbell (Lee), Kathy Ford, and many more cousins. Her husband, Kenneth Leroy Joyner preceded her in death.
A private burial will be held at Siskiyou Memorial Park by Perl Funeral Home for family. In remembrance, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1 pm - 4 pm, at the Crater Lake Eagles Lodge 2093, 2000 Table Rock Road, Medford, Oregon. All Family and Friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crater Lake Eagles Lodge 2093 or Southern Oregon Moose Lodge 2647 for their charities.
