Patricia Ayers died on August 14, 2024 at age 84 and was laid to rest on Sunday, August 25 at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, Oregon. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, moved to Miami, Florida, and then La Mesa, California. She graduated from Grossmont High School and San Diego State University. Her daughter Marney was born in La Mesa, and then the family moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida, where her son Jon Whited was born. She met Dean Ayers in high school and after her divorce in 1989, she and Dean married and resided in southern California. They moved to Medford upon Dean's retirement and have enjoyed the area for the last 21 years. She and Dean moved to the Rogue Valley Manor one year before her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst Fredrick Kling and Kathleen O'Hara Kling. She is survived by her husband Dean, son Jon Whited & daughter-in-law Ann Whited. Daughter Marney, grandchildren Chloe Volz, Samuel Volz, Kaylee Whited, Reagan Whited, Josh Wendland and Ethan Wendland, as well as her siblings Karen Gardiner (Richard), Tina Hunt and Fritz Kling (Tricia).

She loved tending her rose garden, playing the harp and being part of her church, Westminster Presbyterian in Medford.
