Patrick (Rick) McMullen, 69, of Medford, Oregon, passed in peace at home on February 13, 2023 surrounded by his close family following a prolonged illness. He was born on May 17, 1953 in Fort Belvoir Virginia and was raised in the Rogue Valley graduating from Medford Senior High in 1971. Rick is survived by his adoring wife of 40 years, Cindy and is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Patricia McMullen. Loving father of Mallory (Nathan) and Mandy (Rob). Proud Pop Pop of Emery and Maxine. Brother of Mike McMullen, the late Chris McMullen, Kelli McMullen Johnson, Tim McMullen and the late Terry McMullen. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Rick served a distinguished and dedicated career in law enforcement with the Talent Police department, Ashland Police Department, and retiring from the Medford Police Department in 2003, with 30 years of service. Additionally, he was a US Air force law enforcement Sergeant veteran, serving from 1971 1975. Rick will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his welcoming smile, wonderful sense of humor, and the deep compassion he felt for others. He loved going for a long drive, attending concerts, traveling with Cindy, and making some good noise with his drum set. A celebration of Ricks life will be held at 12pm on Thursday February 23, 2023, at Perl Funeral Home & Siskiyou Memorial Park, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd, Medford, OR 97504. A private Color Guard Honors ceremony will be held at 2pm at Eagle Point National Cemetery for family and law enforcement comrades following the service.
