Robert Joseph Milts passed away on May 3, 2025.

He was born to Joseph and Kathryn Milts and raised alongside his brother Michael in Girard, Ohio, until the family moved to Riverside, California, when Robert was 15. He graduated from Riverside High School and went on to attend Tequesquite Riverside College, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. He later became a registered civil engineer in both Oregon and California.

In 1973, Robert joined the firm of Marquess and Associates Engineering, where he eventually became president, serving from January 1, 1985, through December 31, 1994.

Robert married Jaymie Osborn in 1955. They had three children: Debbie, Kathy Jo, and Robert James. Although the marriage later ended in divorce, in 1978 he found love again and married Donna Heth Everett. With Donna, Robert became a devoted stepfather to her sons, Paul and Eric.

Skiing on Mt. Ashland became a cherished weekly tradition for Bob and the three boys, often followed by lively chili dinners. Their blended family enjoyed frequent gatherings, and in time, ten grandchildren added to the joy. Many weekends were spent together on the Rogue River and the golf course.

In early retirement, Robert and Donna traveled extensively and took on the rewarding role of raising two grandchildren. In his younger years, Bob taught skydiving in Lake Elsinore, California. At age 50, he earned his pilot's license, fulfilling a lifelong dream. He loved golf, fishing, and traveling. Each fall, until recently, he and Donna visited her family and friends in Iowa, a place he came to love deeply for its people and warmth.

Robert was known for his kindness, sense of fun, and unwavering loyalty. Donna lovingly recalls, "He always had his hand on my back as we walked through a crowded room."

He is survived by his wife Donna, two stepsons, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. With deep sorrow, we share that his three children preceded him in death
