It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, Terry D. Abbott. Terry passed away on January 7, 2025, in Central Point, Oregon after a long hospital stay.

Terry was born on April 27, 1961, in Long Beach, California. He was the sixth and last child of Raymond Arnold and Clydelle Arnold-Abbott.

Terry moved around some during his childhood and finally landed in Mississippi where he graduated from Independence High School in 1978. Shortly thereafter he joined the Air Force where he met his wife, Mary. They married in 1980 and had three children.

Terry loved to help people, drawing on his experience as an electrician and auto mechanic. He always had a story or a laugh to share. In his later years, he found peace in the woods and rivers of scenic Oregon.

Terry is survived by his former wife, Mary, three children, Christa (Kevin), Travis (Hannah), and Terry (Lori) and his four grandchildren, Ava, James, William, and Benjamin.

There will be a graveside service at 11am on June 20, 2025, at the Eagle Point National Veterans Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.

Family asks for donations to the Addictions Recovery Center of Southern Oregon in lieu of gifts/flowers.
