Wayne Leslie McKenzie

November 13, 1950 — March 16, 2023

Central Point, Oregon

On March 16, 2023, Wayne Leslie McKenzie (72) stepped quickly out of this temporary life and into his eternal heavenly home. He was born in San Bernardino, California on November 13, 1950 to Vesta Fern and Leslie Chet McKenzie.

Wayne was a man of giant faith, a man who lived with a servant’s heart. He was the first to offer a helping hand, the last to leave in a time of need…a man who was everyone’s friend. He was an unbelievably loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa, neighbor and so much more. He lived his life and love out loud for everyone to see and hear and touched countless people wherever he went. The tributes and stories of his life speak to his tremendous impact on almost everyone he encountered, whether close family or just the occasional acquaintance.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Cally McKenzie, his children and their spouses, Mathew and Melissa McKenzie, Travis and Lindsey Jarrett, Heather Miller, Jesse and Vy Cornett, his granddaughters whom he loved beyond measure, Kendyll, Arianna, and Abigail, and countless other family members who were wholeheartedly loved and cherished as family. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brothers Rodney Blackwell and Gene McKenzie.

While we deeply mourn his passing for the void it leaves in our lives down here, we know he is rejoicing, dancing, singing, and celebrating in heaven and that one day we will be reunited again.

A celebration of life will take place at 12:00 on April 1, 2023 at Heritage Christian Fellowship/Cascade Christian High School Gym, located at 855 Chevy Way, Medford, OR 97504.
